German Iron Cross First Class in German Silver - 1939

IRON CROSS FIRST CLASS -1939

 High quality reproduction of perhaps the most famous German decoration in the world, accurately made and in the same material in which the original model were minted: German silver. The Eisernes Kreuz I Klasse was reintroduced starting from 1939 and until 1945 for all grades: officers, non-commissioned officers and troops. The reproduction also has the manufacturer's number engraved on the pin.

 The Iron Cross was applied to the center of the left pocket top of each decoration and was awarded by an officer during a formal ceremony if there was an opportunity and was always accompanied by the relevant certificate.

Award criteria:

  • the soldier had to distinguished for at least 3 times in acts of courage and remarkable actions in front of the enemy (make 3 times what was needed to get the Cross of Iron II ^ cl.);
    • Kreigsmarine and Luftwaffe were applying criteria of tonnage and number of culls.
