M1 Garand case canvas
PADDED JUMP CASE FOR M1 GARAND
Case used on 6 June 1944 by American paratroopers of the US Army during the Normandy landings. Padded for the transport of the rifle M1 Garand, which was disassembled into two parts, was also used for the Thompson and the SMG M3. The rifle strap and its snap hook made it possible to attach the case to a ring of the parachute harness.
