The best German officer side cap on the market, made by Erel
of Robert Lubstein the famous Berlin cap factory, carried on by his heirs. From
its high quality of production and the materials used it is difficult to say
whether it is a replica or a contemporary original, made with the same
methodologies and the same models that the company used in the 30s and 40s.
The German officers privately commissioned to specialized
company in uniforms production, garments that satisfied their personal needs
and the quality of the rank to which they belonged. This model 38 side cap is a
hat with those characteristics, made by Erel cap factory using a high quality
cloth in gray-green color which was often among the most requested by officers
for its comfortable and warm but at the same time elegant fabric, well known
with the name of doeskin.
The cap is complete on
our experience and knowledge with the national cockade made of fine hand
embroidery and the BEVo machine embroider eagle with the silver thread specific
for officer and white inverted "V" symbol of the infantry, in the classic
configuration of the time.
