German army BW aluminium butter dish

BUTTER DISH

 Original German army butter dish in use in the Bundeswehr consisting of three separable parts. Base and lid are in aluminum with a hooking system for rotation and internally the tray for the butter or margarine is in white ceramic and removable for easy washing. The lid has a rubber gasket to seal the package. Above and below are the engravings of the Bundeswehr and the lot number. A similar model was used before the Second World War before it was replaced by the Bakelite model.
