WW1 Prussian pilot badge German Imperial Aviation
PRUSSIAN PILOT BADGE
Reproduction of the German Imperial Aviation Pilot's badge in use until 1918 for those who had obtained the qualification to fly during the First World War. The model is the version given by Prussia to its pilots such as the legendary Manfred Von Richthofen known as the Red Baron from the color of his DR1. The badge consists of a central part representing an airplane flying over the German countryside surrounded by a crown of oak leaves and surmounted by the Prussian crown. On the back there is also the manufacturer's stamp.
