LUFTWAFFE ANTI-AIRCRAFT BADGE (Flak Kampfabzeichen Der Luftwaffe)
Istituted in January 10, 1941 from Reichsmareschall Hermann Goring and awarded to the Luftwaffe staff to reward those who were distinguished by participating in anti-air combat or, at least until the establishment of the special recognition, terrestrial. All staff of the Flak, including radar operators or reflectors, could achieve the decoration to achieve 16 points.
Award criteria:
- 1 point - to be the first to detect the arriving aircraft by means of the reflectors 150 cm or 60 cm and with acoustic search means, and then by following the plane until another research team the bracket with the spotlight.
- 2 points - participation in the shooting down of an enemy plane by means of fire ground-based (AA batteries first, but also machine gun or rifle). Participation in the shooting down of an enemy plane by direct of aircraft with search lights.
- 4 points - the same action as above, but without the participation of other batteries.
- Awarded for meritorious individual action or leadership action.
